Adam Lambert, Hit The Road While You Hit That SAME High Note Again
Oh Adam Lambert, the little I saw of you this season (since I don't bother to watch cause Lost or Heroes was usually on) turned me into a fan...of the other guy.
I never found myself in a situation dealing with American Idol where I actually rooted AGAINST someone. Maybe it was his crooner night, the way he butchered a classic song that the likes of Sinatra and Buble can only hope that these contestants get "semi-good".
Then again, maybe it is the fact that instead of adapting his talent to the style of the genre of the night, he adapted the style of the song to his "emo-ish" style of singing....and what the hell was with hitting that SAME LOOOOOONG note every-single-time he did a song! One word, "repetitive"!
So imagine my happiness when I heard that Chris Allen won, oh the joy.
But then...the horror, a scandal!?
With only the sparse information provided (and absolutely no proof to back up their claims, from say, an investigation?) fans of Lambert and the media jumped on the story of some AT&T spokespeople handing out demo phones at two parties in.....Alabama (where the population MUST be BOOMING) to let them send in their text votes.
Now, first of all, it is Alabama. Like I said, the population isn't exactly turning out in NYC fashion I would assume. Number two, I didn't hear anything about AT&T putting a gun to these people's heads to vote for Chris.
Just because I sometimes have these stupid urges that I know I should ignore, I went to Twitter and looked up a few people, eventually it lead me to my Favorite, Perez Hilton. He would be one of those people who, without proof, proclaimed that Adam Lambert was robbed of his victory.....hmm, wonder why?
Either way, Chris won.
Sounds good to me!
