Obama, Apparently This IS A Muslim Nation

(Now, explode, rain, sizzle, hook right arms, dosy do, okay we are rocking this house)

Before Obama left for his Middle East PR stunt, I mean, "Relations tour", he had an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, where he said this:

“The United States could be considered one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

“And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” Mr. Obama said."

It just made me kind of think back to when he said that we don't consider the United States to be a "Christian Nation". I was all prepared to link to that article, when I found something even more interesting, read the whole quote:

"One of the great strengths of the United States is ... we have a very large Christian population -- we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."

"We do not consider ourselves a...Muslim nation" and then most recently the "The United States could be considered one of the largest Muslim countries in the world". That is conflicting isn't it?

Another thing I found interesting about our current governmental situation, according to the New York Times today:

"The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked “highly confidential,” that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nation’s civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons."

Wow, little mistake, I am sure the blame will somehow be pushed along onto Bush somehow.

I am not one for conspiracy theories (usually) but all of this ties together in a way that only those "crazy" people were talking about back in the primaries.

Interesting.

Obama may think that we're not a Christian country but those "ideals and (a) set of values" that bind our "nation of citizens" are based in Christianity. The entire foundation of our country - from the very first settlement to our consitution- is based in Christian values. But Mr. President, you're right... we're obviously not a Christian nation.
